A "SHAD BOAT" BUILT IN ELIZABETH CITY, NORTH CAROLINA. AFTER BEING USED FOR MANY YEARS AS A FISHING BOAT, IT WAS CONVERTED WITH A DIESEL ENGINE TO BE A MEANS OF FAMILY AND BUSINESS TRANSPORT TO NORTH CAROLINA'S OUER BANKS. RESIDENTS TILL REMEMBER THE BOAT LEAVING ELIZABETH CITY WITH FAMILIES, MANY CHILDREN, GOATS, CHICKENS AND PETS, FOR A SUMMER IN NAGS HEAD.
